1. OVERVIEW
Thank you for choosing Thoughtful Nook! We are a print-on-demand service, which means all products are custom-made specifically for you after your order is placed. This ensures that every item is unique and created with care. Because our products are made to order, please allow additional time for production before shipping begins.
This Shipping Policy explains our production timelines, shipping methods, delivery estimates, and what to expect when your order is on its way. Please read this information carefully before placing your order.
2. PRINT-ON-DEMAND PROCESS
All Thoughtful Nook products are made to order. This means:
- Your product is created only after you complete your purchase
- Production begins within 1-3 business days of order confirmation
- Each item is individually customized according to your specifications
- We do not maintain pre-made inventory
This approach allows us to offer a wide variety of customizable products while minimizing waste and ensuring quality.
3. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES BY PRODUCT TYPE
Delivery times vary depending on the type of product ordered and where you place your order. All products are made to order after purchase.
3.1 Amazon Orders (Standard/Prime)
Delivery Time: 2-5 days for contiguous US locations
Amazon Prime members frequently receive next-day or 2-day delivery depending on proximity to printing facilities.
Priority Processing: Orders placed through Amazon are processed, printed, and shipped almost immediately for the fastest possible delivery.
3.2 Books, Planners, Novels, and Workbooks
Production Time: 3-5 business days
After production is complete, your item will be shipped using the method you selected during checkout. Delivery times vary based on the shipping method (see Section 4 for shipping method details).
3.3 Mugs, Notebooks, and Household Items
Total Time (Production + Shipping): 2-10 business days
These items are created after your order is placed. Production begins within 1-3 business days, and the item ships once complete using your selected shipping method.
Important Note: Business days exclude weekends and holidays. Production time begins after order confirmation and payment processing is complete.
4. SHIPPING METHODS AND DELIVERY TIMES
After production is complete, your order will be shipped using the shipping method you selected during checkout. Delivery times vary based on the shipping method and your location.
4.1 Standard Shipping
Total Estimated Time (Production + Shipping): 7-12 business days
Standard shipping includes tracking information so you can monitor your order’s progress. This is our most commonly selected shipping option and provides a balance between cost and delivery speed.
4.2 Untraceable Mail
Delivery Time: Up to 28 days after production
Important Information About Untraceable Mail:
- No tracking information is provided – You will not be able to track your package once it ships
- Delivery may take up to 28 days from the ship date
- This is the most economical shipping option
- Customers are clearly informed about these limitations during checkout
By selecting untraceable mail, you acknowledge and accept that tracking will not be available and that delivery times may be extended. This shipping method is best suited for customers who are not in a rush and prefer lower shipping costs.
4.3 Priority Mail
Delivery Time: Up to 28 days after production (for international or certain domestic routes)
Priority mail options may vary based on destination. Delivery times for priority mail can take up to 28 days depending on the shipping destination and carrier routing.
5. ORDER TRACKING
5.1 Production Status
Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email. As your item moves through production, we will send you updates via email.
5.2 Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. This email will include:
- Confirmation that your order has shipped
- Tracking number (for traceable shipping methods only)
- Estimated delivery timeframe
Note: Untraceable mail orders will receive shipping confirmation but will not include a tracking number.
6. SHIPPING ADDRESSES
6.1 Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. Please double-check your shipping information before completing your order. We cannot be held responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
6.2 Address Changes
If you need to change your shipping address, please contact us immediately at thethoughtfulnook@gmail.com. Address changes can only be accommodated if your order has not yet entered production. Once production has begun, we cannot modify the shipping address.
6.3 P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO Addresses
We can ship to P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Please note that delivery times to these addresses may be extended and tracking may be limited.
7. SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- The shipping method you select
- Your shipping destination
- The size and weight of your order
- The type of product being shipped
Shipping costs will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process before you complete your purchase. There are no hidden shipping fees.
8. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
8.1 International Delivery Times
International orders may require additional production and shipping time due to customs processing and longer transit distances. Please allow an additional 5-15 business days for international delivery beyond the standard production and shipping timeframes.
8.2 Customs, Duties, and Taxes
International customers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, or taxes imposed by their country. These charges are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the recipient. Please check with your local customs office for more information about potential charges.
8.3 Customs Delays
Orders may be delayed by customs processing, which is beyond our control. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs or other regulatory agencies.
9. DELIVERY ISSUES
9.1 Lost or Stolen Packages
If your order shows as delivered but you have not received it:
- Check with neighbors or household members
- Look around your property (porches, mailboxes, garages)
- Contact your local post office or carrier
- Contact us at thethoughtfulnook@gmail.com if you still cannot locate your package
We are not responsible for packages that are marked as delivered by the carrier. However, we will work with you to resolve the issue and may file a claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf.
9.2 Damaged Packages
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at thethoughtfulnook@gmail.com with:
- Photos of the damaged item
- Photos of the packaging
- Your order number
We will review your claim and work with you to provide a replacement or refund as appropriate.
9.3 Undeliverable Packages
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or failure to collect from the post office, we will contact you to arrange reshipment. You will be responsible for additional shipping costs to resend the order.
10. HOLIDAY AND PEAK SEASON SHIPPING
During peak shopping seasons (such as holidays), production and shipping times may be extended due to higher order volumes. We recommend placing orders early to ensure delivery by your desired date. Please note:
- Production times may increase by 2-5 business days during peak periods
- Shipping carriers may experience delays
- We cannot guarantee delivery by specific dates, especially during holidays
